Pet supplements on Amazon. The data nobody publishes in one place.
48 Amazon pet sub-niches at top-50 (plus 2 partial anchors), 2,102 distinct ASINs, 24 documented buyer pain patterns across 19 complaint categories, and competitor-density scoring for the 10 supplement sub-niches that anchor the offer. Built from Amazon US bestseller pages and public third-party review aggregations.
The data lives in five paid tools. It shouldn't.
If you're researching pet supplements on Amazon, you need Helium 10 for keyword volume, Jungle Scout for demand estimates, Keepa for BSR, a review scraper for review pain, and a spreadsheet to join it. None of those tools publish their data in a way that lets you answer the actual question: is pet supplements a niche worth entering this quarter, and what are the buyer pain patterns I should design around?
This pack joins those public signals into a single deliverable, scoped to one sub-niche. You get the data, the methodology that ties every number to its source, and the raw CSVs so you can re-run the analysis yourself.
Table of contents.
- Coverage and depth: 50 sub-niches (48 at top-50, 2 partial anchors), 2,102 distinct ASINs, where the data is thick and where it is thin
- Top listings per sub-niche: top-5 ASINs for the 10 supplement sub-niches
- Pain patterns: 24 documented across 19 categories, with verbatim quotes and source URLs
- Competitor density: 10 sub-niches scored, 13x incumbent-depth spread
- Entry read: where the incumbent depth is thin vs thick
- Methodology: every source URL and the substitutions for blocked data paths
The one number worth stealing even if you never buy it.
Sum the review counts of the top-5 listings in each pet-supplement sub-niche. That is a rough read on how entrenched the incumbents are. The spread across the 10 supplement sub-niches we scored:
20,907 (dog dental care) to 276,019 (cat supplements).
Thirteen times the incumbent depth inside one parent category. That is the kind of difference that decides whether a launch is survivable.
Compute it yourself off the Amazon bestseller pages in an afternoon. The pack is what you get when you don't want to spend the afternoon.
How the data was gathered.
All inputs are public. No paid-tool subscription is required to verify any number in this pack.
Two sub-niches are partial by design. cat-gift-sets returned only 4 ASINs on the Amazon bestseller page; pet-vitamins-supplements-top returned 0 ASINs (documented empty-leaf anchor). The other 48 sub-niches are at top-50.
Total ASINs: 2,405 rows, 2,102 distinct.
Field coverage: price on 1,262 rows (52%), rating on 1,414 rows (59%), review count on 1,414 rows (59%). For the rank 1-30 faceout-eligible rows specifically: 70% have all three fields populated.
Why this data shape matters.
Verbatim from r/FulfillmentByAmazon where FBA sellers share their actual workflow pain.
"You just need to have a dashboard that you can dump raw data from the report that will automate which FBA shipment, transaction Ids or FNSKU..."
- r/FulfillmentByAmazon, "What is the best process for handling Amazon reimbursements?" thread
"Since you cannot restrict Amazon's refund policies, your best defense is to aggressively audit your FBA Returns Report monthly for orders..."

Sellers aren't asking for another paid tool. They're asking for the data joined into a single artifact they can act on. That's what this pack is.
